Our client is an independent boutique investment firm focused on blockchain, crypto, Web3, and fintech, including neobanks and payments, investing in and supporting projects and funds at the forefront of these technologies.

Role Overview

Report to HQ in Singapore, the Senior Associate works closely with the investment team across the full deal lifecycle — from initial evaluation through execution and post-investment support. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to go deep on diligence, thematic research, and portfolio engagement in the crypto and fintech space.

Key Responsibilities

Deal Execution

• Lead and coordinate due diligence processes across internal and external stakeholders to support deal closing
• Assist in structuring and executing equity and token transactions, including negotiation support and documentation
• Prepare investment memos and concise investment summary reports for senior decision-makers
• Liaise with the legal team on legal diligence and closing processes

Research & Analysis

• Develop thematic research and data-driven insights on emerging trends across crypto, DeFi, Web3, and fintech
• Evaluate investment opportunities referred through the firm’s network — assess thesis fit, team quality, tokenomics, and competitive landscape
• Monitor market developments and maintain sector coverage to support the investment team’s thesis-building

Key Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in VC/PE, investment banking, or corporate development; direct Web3 investing or operational experience in crypto/fintech is a strong plus
• Good understanding of blockchain, tokenomics, and the crypto/fintech landscape — familiar with trends across DeFi, payments, and digital assets
• Strong written communication skills; ability to distil complex concepts into clear, concise investment memos and research
• Analytical and structured thinker with high attention to detail
• Comfortable working with founders and cross-functional teams including legal, product, and finance
• High ownership mentality; able to operate independently in a fast-moving environment
